can this spreader be used on JD sabre riding mower

Answer : yes it will work behind any lawn/garden type tractor, but i would not recommend this for an ATV

Answer : I don't see why not; it's fairly universal. I have a coworker that has a JD Sabre mower and has a similar spreader. I used his spreader once last year before buying this one for myself on my Craftsman riding mower. I didn't want to drive 20n miles one way to borrow it again.

Answer : As long as the lawn tractor has got a place to attach towing accessories on the rear. Usually a boss with at least a 1/2" hole for a pin.

Answer : if you have a hitch hole on the back of your mower nothing special about this, it is held on with a half inch x 3 inch pin and a hair pin clip

Answer : If you can tow a wagon you can use this spreader.

Answer : As long as you have a place on your tractor to hook up tow behind attachments I don;t see why not.

Answer : If your machine has a trailer hitch that is just a hole that a pin drops through then yes sir, it will work. The spreader though is what you pay for, cheap. It does spread although the swath is very narrow and the rate adjustment leaves a lot to be desired. If you have the money, pass this one up and get a better quality spreader. If you happen to be on a fixed income such as myself and need to spend the absolute least amount of money that you can, then go ahead, it does work better than having to push a spreader. BTW, you reach the on/off lever from your seated position from your machine.

Answer : It works with my John Deere LA135.

Answer : It seems to me that it would work with pretty much any tractor. The connection is a simple bar with a cotter pin. It's pretty universal.

Answer : If your mower has a attachment hole on back for pulling accessories, you can use this product.

Where is this product manufactured? China?

Answer : Yes.

Answer : 100% made in the USA. You can't beat it for the price asked. Take yuor time assembling it, although it is very easy.

Answer : yes

How do you adjust seed flow per acre?

The control has numbers on it, but what do they represent? If you have a certian pounds of seed you want to disperse per acre, how do you know where to set the control?

Easy to assemble and use

Got product in very short time. I read that assembly was a little difficult according to another review; I found this was not the case, just follow easy to understand instructions. I do however suggest that you assemble everything by hand before tightning bolts, as this makes it easier. I finished assembly with hand tools in less than 30 minutes. I enjoy the product so much and it is very easy to operate. I reccomend this product for home use as it was not designed for commercial use (even though I have a very large yard). I have also discoverd, thanks to the snowfall this year, that it works very well for spreading ice melt (salt) on my driveway and sidewalk. GREAT PRODUCT !!!

Great Value Lawn sPREADER

THIS SPREADER IS $20 less than Lowes and works great.

Spreader

I would recomment this spreader, but the hardware cabel that controlls the amount you will spread is a little to long. It was hard to connect the throttle to the frame because the cable was twisting around and it could be some shorter to reduce the tention on the cable when connect to hardware.\nthanks

Junk

This spreader was cheap, that's the only positive. The axles bent the first day of use. The flow control does not work well as it will push one side open and leave the other mostly closed. I usually ended up setting the flow control, pushing the slide gate open manually and then getting back on the mower. Very annoying if you have to start and stop more than a few times on your lawn.

Worked great

The tow behind broadcast spreader worked great. Just a little bit under the quality of my Scott's broadcast spreader but once I got used to the broadcast setting, it worked just fine. And my back felt great after spreading 15,000 sq ft of winter guard fertilizer. I have had a tractor for fifteen years and I can't figure out why it took so long to add this to my list of accessories. The service from WalMart was awesome. Free shipping and I received the spreader two days earlier than my acknowledgement date. Pretty amazing.

So-so

Not hard to put together -- Works OK, you have to go slow on bumpy ground so as not to flip it. The open/close and adjustment mechanism could use some improvement.

Very difficult assembly sheader

I got a box full of parts and a manual very difficult to to use in assembling the product. It's made solid thats why I rated it 3 stars. It took me the better part of 3 hours to put it together and even then parts weren't right and screws were too short. I would buy it in the store and not online and then maybe Walmart would asemble it.

This spreader is a piece of feces.

To begin with all the parts were not included in the packing. It was difficult to assemble and the spreader gauge is in accurate and does not work.

Great Product! But Poor Handling!

I recently bought this product and it is a great product exactly what I wanted. It works great and would recommend to anyone else. However, I went to pick it up at the nearest Walmart. I got there and the product was in a box with all the pieces it had gotten damaged during transit.

Great product

Great product even better customer service through Agr-Fab. Mine was missing a part and my wife threw away all of the paperwork. The not only sent me the part but also e-mailed me a new manual.

Great price and does work

Easy to assemble although if you follow the directions received with the product you will never get it done! Handles seed and fertilizer well but don't put powdered lime in it.....unless you like stopping every 2 minutes to shake it into the dispenser hole. In general works well but could use a larger agitator.

Seems good so far

I only used it once, but, it worked very well. I like the pneumatic tires. Compared to a previous model/brand that I bought from a big hardware chain, this spreader surpasses it.

Lawn Spreader

The spreader worked as advertised and holds enough feterlizer to cover a large area. The spreader was quickly assembled and contained all necessary parts but you must pay attention to the pictures. Very good value for what I needed and would recommend this for small to medium lawns.

Easy To Use!

A little difficult to assembly by one self, but easy to use. Worked great, and the adjust ment stop is great.

works excellent

I had to keep looking at instruction manuel to assemble it, other then that everythings good. sure beats those walk behind types.

Product works great; really like it

Suggestion instructions were difficult to follow. Try to make them more user friendly.

It Does the Job

Although smaller than the last pull behind Spreader, it did perform as was expected.\nSince lawn tractors do not have speedometers, it is difficult to tell how fast or slow you are going, therefore it is a trial and error method to get the width of the throw you want.\nWith very fine grass seed, you really have to have the adjustment for the opening very narrow, or you will dispense too much seed all at one time.\nThe only real negative is that with a high back seat on a lawn tractor, Tall Person has no trouble reaching the off/on knob. Not so for his petite wife, a big stretch for her and since she does most of the seeding, it becomes an annoyance.

good product

Good price; works well; easy pick up at store; **only caution -- make sure you are using the correct length screws as you assemble bc if not you will have to go back and remove the ones in incorrect places!!

Ok for the price

The spreader was considerably less at WalMart.com\nand I'm glad I ordered it here. Actually it is a very small model and adequate for my less than an acre property since I have a larger Agrifab walk behind spreader. If the tow behind model is the only spreader you will own I'd definitely look into the higher priced spreaders available from this maker.

Back saver

1. In the original survey I noted that the box had been opened and was in poor condition, yet nothing appeared to be missing. Found during assembly, however, that the small parts bag had a one inch slit and that 2 of the lock screws were missing.\n\n2. Assembly was difficult due to the indented areas areas where the bolts are located. A deep socked (1/4 inch) is needed (I had only the standard sockets). Will have to purchase a deep socket in order to get the bolts seated 100%.\nThe written directions are\npoor, mislabeling the bolts in two places which caused a moments confusion.\n\n3. The spreader tracks well behind the mower and the settings work well enough. Distribution of Crabgrass pre-emergent is as desired.
