Does this gate swing both ways?

Answer : No

Answer : No just one way.

Answer : No, just one direction

Answer : No this gate cannot open both way. Thank you!

Answer : No, the gate does not swing both ways.

Answer : no

how wide is the part that swings open and you walk through?

Answer : 16"

Answer : about 2 ft

Answer : It is about 18 inches wide. Thank you!

Answer : The opening is about 2 feet wide. You have to go trhough one by one.

Answer : 15.5 inches

can this gate be mounted on walls that have baseboards?

Answer : Yes it can. We have it mounted on a wall with base boards. It comes 4 inches from the ground.

Answer : No, you have to remove the baseboards.

Answer : Good question! I mounted mine with baseboards. I just raised it up the 3" then bolted it down. Keep in mind that there is a bottom to the gate portion, so that part is elevated off the ground if you mount it this way. It also comes with bolts on the end that adjust, so you could mount it flush to the floor even with baseboards if you wanted to.

Answer : Yes because it has screws on the sides that you can adjust to the right len.gth

Answer : Yes it can, easily. It is mounted with fully adjustable bolts that clip into anchors that are attached to the wall or baseboard.

Perfect

We have a very wide stairway with a landing at the top. This is the only gate we found that would fit and stay up. It mounts to the wall which is perfect. At first the gate was hard to open but after using a few times it loosened up and was very easy for us. It was a little hard to get set up and adjusted just right though to fit.

So happy I bought this product

This gate is great because it keeps my son out of the kitchen. It screws into the walls which on one hand I like because the pressure mounted gates always come loose but on the other hand it does put holes in the walls. It took us several tries to get the holes all lined up in the right spots because the house we are renting is so old and NONE of the walls, floors or ANYTHING else for that matter is straight.\n\nIt is easy to get through the door of the gate because the latch system is simple to use (unlike some gates where you have to push in buttons, push down handles, and do whatever else, at the same time). That said, I am also afraid that eventually my son is going to figure it out soon and the gate will be worthless. One last thing is that the gate is made out of cheap metal so it does bend easily and i guess break fairly easily.\n\nThat being said I do like this product despite minor issues and would recommend it.

nice gate

I bought this for my puppy. Very nice gate. Easy to put up and take down.

NOT SOO HELPFUL!

I was VERY disappointed with this baby gate.. I have been looking for MONTHS for a baby gate that would fit my extra wide opening.. I've been looking at this one for a while with the good reviews... Realized it could work, but how inconvenient that Walmart doesn't sell the extension, so I had to purchase thru Target (as Target had the baby gate on back order of 2-6 weeks).. Once I got the baby gate, realized that the gate was bent (do not have the time or patience to return, AARRGGHH!!) and that it is NOT sturdy. My son likes to shake things and this is NOT the baby gate for you if you have a child like mine.. I would not recommend this gate to anyone, DON'T WASTE THE TIME OR MONEY!!!

Exactly what i needed !!! I would recommend this product. Wish it had a harder lock.

Strong Gate but Cheap Mounting Brackets

This baby gate is sturdy but the mounting brackets they provide are cheap plastic with tiny screws. I had to use my own screws as the first one tore from the wall. Also, you will run into a problem if you have baseboards as the mounts have to be flush to the wall and trim will leave a gap from the wall and the mount.

Great gate for pet

I bought this for a 59" opening to keep my dog out of 1 room. It's worked well. No problems opening & closing the gate. I think it was a good price in comparison. We did have to screw it into the wall which took about 25 min & my husband was getting frustrated. But he didnt want to "have" to adjust it (didnt read the directions BEFORE starting on it). I think it wouldve taken about 15 min otherwise. Does well for the dog. I honestly cant answer about kids; we don't have little children pulling on it. The "gate" opening isnt very wide. I dont know think a person 300lb+ would be able to get through it. But a small to average person can. We are on the larger side of average. I'd buy another if I needed a second one & I'd recommend it.

This gate is very easy to use and is very sturdy.

I use this gate in the house, but can move it to the front porch and keep the dogs on the porch when we're outside. This gate is very easy to adjust and move between spots. I do not take the brackets down, but move the gate only.

Good product for the money

At first I was very skeptical after reading the reviews but decided to take a chance on this product anyway. We just had a baby and we were looking for something to put in a large entrance to keep our 70lb dog seperated from the living room.\n\nI am very pleased with this gate. I assembled this by myself while my husband was at work. I can easily take this down and put back up by myself. It is sturdy and is suprisingly nice to look at. I was afraid this gate would be an eyesore but it isn't. My parents have a similar situation and have ordered this gate to put in their large entryway.

Disappointed

This gate was a real disappointment. It was not as sturdy as the other smaller Regalo gates I have purchased. As a result, it was bent in the shipping. Also, it was welded together crooked which made it hard to line up the holes on the extention with the door section. After much struggle (finally pounded with a hammer!) I was able to get it together. Also, was expecting a tention mount, but you have to screw holes into the wall for brackets to mount. Flimsey.....

great for animals

Love this gate! Not the easiest to install brackets, but once in, it keeps the dogs out of the living room and off the furniture. Looks great too!

Very helpful

We purchased this gate to keep our puppy contained in our front foyer area. We had a difficult time finding the width we needed in stores and found this gate on-line at Wal-Mart. It has been very beneficial for us. We also like it because it is hard for the dog to jump up on it because the slats are vertical and spaced out. Good purchase.

Deceptive product summary

I bought two of these because I have a 48" opening and a 53" opening and I wanted to have matching gates. The product summary says the gate expands from 37-59" so I thought this was a great option for the price. Unfortunately, the product summary leaves out one CRUCIAL detail...this gate WILL NOT work in openings between 39-49" (which is very clearly stated on the packaging...."This gate can be used in openings from 34"to 39" and 49"-59""). Wal-Mart is getting the gate back today.

Wonderful, great product

My husband & I were looking for a gate for our entry way, for our 1 year old. This gate was the best price for the size we needed (we had compared gates & prices with other retailers). My husband had the gate up in 10 minutes, so I would say it was extremely easy to install!!\nPer someone's recommendation from one of the other reviews, he used longer screws to secure the gate. Our daughter hangs and pulls on the gate at least twice a day, and it hasn't moved, and she's 31 inches tall & 27 lbs. :)\nI'm a trained Pediatric ICU Nurse, and I would without a doubt recommend this gate.

Nice Gate But Won't Work at 44"

This gate is a good weight and has a couple of options to make it work in a number of walkways, but unfortunately it will not work in a 44 inch space. The gate itself is too small for our walkway and the extension will not let you add just a couple of inches to the gate. There are extension bolts on the gate that can extend up to 10 inches they say, but then say that they should only be extended 3 inches. That has left us up a creak with no paddle.\n\nBeware that this gate does not really fit the range of space that is listed.

Nice gate for the price

This gate definately meets our expectations. It fits our huge space great, and it was priced right. One feature that is pretty cool that I wasn't even aware of when we purchased it is that the wall brackets allow for you to take the gate down super quick (in case you're having guests who don't want to walk through the gate all the time).\nInstallation was not difficult if you follow the directions. We did end up purchasing long drywall screws because the screws it came with came out of the wall the first day. After replacing them, we've had no problem, and it's had heavy traffic in and out.\nOverall, I definately recommend this gate.

This gate is great. It seems to be very sturdy. Having the walk through feature is really nice. My favorite thing about it is how it is mounted. It comes with little plastic pieces that hold the gate in place. The gate can be popped out of these pieces in two seconds if you want to take it down for a while. I use this gate when I'm babysitting and just take it down when I don't have any kids around. It's so fast. I completely satisfied!

nice gate
