Can I bath my dog the same day as applying pet armor?

Answer : Sure but bathe them first and then apply the product after they are dry.

Answer : Bathe the dog first. Apply when dry and do not bathe again until four to five days after application.

Answer : Wash dog before applying!

Answer : Directions do not say anything about applying it on wet or dry, but it does say not to touch the area until the application is completely dry, so if you bathe it that day, I would suggest waiting until your dog is dry.

Answer : I would bath the dog first. Wait the next day to apply the Pet Armor. Make sure the dog is dry before applying.

How small a dog is this product safe for?

In a few short days I'm getting an 8-week old Chihuahua puppy and I'm curious if this product is really safe for that small of a dog, or if I'd need to use less of the tube. I'm super excited to bring my new puppy into my home and I don't want to put him at risk, so if anybody reading this has used this product to teeny dogs like Chihuahua puppies and has found it safe and effective I'd really like to know. Thank you. :)

Answer : PetArmor® products are customized for your pet and come in five different sizes. In your case, you should use the one for dogs weighing up to 22lbs (a green box with the Yorkie on the front). Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old to use the product. If your puppy is less than 8 weeks, don’t use PetArmor. If he is over 8 weeks, then spreading the dose out in a few locations can be a good way to minimize any risk of skin irritation. For a new puppy, it is always good to check with your veterinarian before starting any treatment.

Answer : Probably only a vet can tell you for sure but my dog weighs 10 pounds and she had no problem with it whatsoever.

Answer : i have a 7 lb. pom pom and i only use half the tube, dont want to over load her

Answer : Crystal, Please call you local vet. It could kill your dog if the dose is wrong. This medication is by weight....I think it has to be for puppies, too. Good luck with your new baby and I hope you are both happy!

Answer : I am not vet, but i have used this on my small chihuahuas even when they were puppies. I do not think it would hurt at all. I love this product and have been useing it for a long time. It works very well. It is alot cheaper than Frontline. So if you have more than one dog it is more affordable.

How well does this work on preventing ticks?

Answer : This product does nothing to prevent fleas/ ticks. Actually, within about 10 days after the first application I found a large tick on my dogs neck. I just applied the 3rd dose about a week ago and found another adult tick on my dogs neck just the other day. I find the cheap $5 applications of flea/tick remedies to be much more effective! My dog is only 8 lbs and the box I bought is for S Dogs & Puppies 5-22 lbs.

Answer : This works really good on ticks. Never found a tick on my pet when they had this product on them.

Answer : I have NEVER seen a tick on either of my dogs since using this product.

Answer : My dog is not exposed to ticks, but from the other reviews I read, it work great.

I have six dogs and four cats that I have rescued over the years and I use to use Frontline but this came out so I decided to give this a try. This stuff works my dogs have no fleas and I would tell anyone to buy this and to use it. It is much more affordable and I will contuine to use this product.

I started using this last year and we didn't have any problems. I will continue to use it. My dogs don' t have any irritation. It is much more affordable when you have more that one pet.

I have been using this on my dog since it first came out and he has NEVER had a flea. I used to use Frontline Plus and the only difference I can see in the two is the price!

i guess it's a gamble?

I've heard some kinds stop working because the fleas get used to them and you need to change formulas? IDK.. but everyone told me not to use this, and last summer it was the only thing affordable around me, so I got it. It worked great on all 3 of my dogs, and they play with the dogs next door daily. I also used the one for cats, also worked great! Wonder why it doesn't work for others? I think it's worth trying until you find a brand that works.. Frontline and advantage weren't worth it to me.

Quality product- happy pet

Read about the 'PetArmor' products in Consumer Reports thought I'd try them out on my Pug. The price was certainly right ( half what other name-brands charge ) and the write-up in CR said the flea medicine was easy to apply and effective. Bought a years worth, applied the first month on his back and a week later he shows no sign of adverse reaction. Nice!\nCan't tell yet if fleas and ticks are under control but time will tell. So far he's not scratching and so I'm happy that he's comfortable. 'PetArmor' has brought peace-of-mind to our household. What more can I ask?

Does Not Work at All!

I got this to use on three dogs I have in the home since it was generic to Frontline and was inexpensive. It was a waste of money! There was no change in flea activity on any of the dogs, they actually got more fleas on them after I put this stuff on. It also turned my Chihuahua's fur white and it looked like she had been painted. I am a bargain hunter but this is NOT a bargain because it does not work one bit. Spend the extra money to get the REAL deal and if you don't have the money at the moment, a quick fix that won't hurt your dog to help kill the fleas is to bathe them in Baby Shampoo or if you prefer Dawn Dish Soap. It is a quick fix if your in a jam.\n\nI am switching back to Frontline Plus as soon as I can. In the end I will have spent almost double the amount I would have if I had just bought Frontline Plus. I hope I can help save someone else from making the same mistake.

Now that we're into our 2nd month of using the product, I can say that it's made a huge difference in our tick problem. Because I've never had this issue before, we had a pretty good infestation going, before I realized what was happening. During the first month, the teeny tiny critters that were making my dogs' itchy all over and their bellies look like they had chicken pox, vanished, and the "regular" ticks gradually decreased. Since the 2nd dose on July 1, we've seen an almost miraculous decline in the tick problem. And the price is the best I've found on the market, at this point. We're going to be using this from now on!

great stuff!

We have used this for the second year now, and it's working great at keeping those pest off our dogs!

Excellent product

Have used this product in place of Frontline. Excellent... Have no issues with fleas for either my 5 lb Yorkie or my 30 lb Rat Terrier. Outstanding product for the price. As long as it is available I will continue to use it.

Didn't work this year at all....

although it seemed to work fine last year, this year my dog has her first fleas ever! Approx. 3 days after treating her, she began scratching. When I checked her over, I found fleas. Since she's never had fleas, I was upset. Following package directions, I re-treated her with no improvement after a week. I now have flea bites and fleas in the house. I am VERY disapointed in this product.

Good product, good savings

PetArmor works very well - comparable to the higher priced prescription-only product available from the veterinarian. My dogs have NO fleas or ticks anymore.

Seems to work well enough

This is one of those products I wish I didn't need, but dare not take the chance of trying to do without it either. As long as my pets are not in a situation where they are stuck with other animals that are flea infested, this seems to work well enough. Every now and then I will find a flea, but it's probably one that just hopped on, and hadn't dropped dead yet. Otherwise, the dog or cat is calm and relaxed, because they are not being tortured by biting fleas.

A surprise

Received on a timely basis but not as ordered. Had ordered 2 -3month supplies and got a bonus for each so 8doses instead of 6. they could have made the sale without the bonus but the surprise put them into a 5 star category.

First-time user of this product

I was leary of this flea treatment due to my no experience with it, but because of the reviews that Walmart customers are so faithful to give, as a measuring stick to base a decision on, I made the choice to try this product.\n\nAs pet owners, we want the best for our four-legged 'kids' and to perish the thought of some blood-sucker feasting on our best friends. Binky was miserable, until I received the FASTEST SHIPMENT EVER :D:D:D of any Walmart order I have ever made! Made the order in the wee hours of Aug. 1st, and received it the NEXT DAY around noon. I was shocked! In a good way!\n\nWalmart consistently provides speedy service. This treatment has reduced her scratch fests and she can rest without the nagging biting she WAS suffering. Thanks WM for getting her 'medicine' to her asap; Walmart service ROCKS!

Have used this product for 3 years.

Been flra & tick free on my dog since I began using PetArmor

A Pet Parent

You need to for sure give PetArmor a try. It is well worth the money. It works as good as Frontline, and a whole lot cheaper. I have more than one pet so i have to try to find a product that works and that i can afford. THIS WORKS GREAT FOR MY PETS !!! When you buy Frontline you are paying more for the name. None of my pets have had any problems at all while useing PetArmor.

PetArmour

I used this product on my 4 lb. Maltese. I applied as per the instructions. 24 hours later still had fleas, 48 hours later still had fleas, 72 hours later it appeared as if the fleas had multiplied. I re washed the dog, removed many fleas, dried, reapplied the product. 1 week later he was covered with fleas, no success with this product.\n\nI purchased the more expensive product, which we all know is WAY overpriced, within 48 hours I only, found a couple of fleas.\n\nSorry, it doesn't work.

Works just as good as Frontline or K Advantage

I saw the commercial for this product in May and decided to buy it. Well, it has kept the fleas and ticks off my little dog, Mylo so far. I love this product b/c it is very affordable. I will continue to use this product.

Good protection at a modest price

I have been using this product for years after my vet recommended Frontline Flea and Tick. Her assistant told me PetArmor is the same as Frontline for about half the cost. I have had no problems with fleas or tics on my dog since I started using this.

This works just a well as Advantage/Avantix. I have never used Front Line. The price is so much better.
