Are there vent holes in the bottom? We want to use on wooden deck.

Answer : There are three round holes about the diameter of a pencil in the bottom that seem to be more for drainage than a vent.

Answer : Yes there are vent holes they are little I put it on a wooden deck and haven't had any problems

Answer : Yes there are small holes.

Answer : There are 2 vent holes. I use mine on a wood deck I just purchased some cheap 24x24 tiles (8) from the local tile store glued and grouted to a piece of plie wood. It has a design in the middle and looks great. Spent $20.00 to make and if the ashes come out they land on tile works great for me and adds beauty to my deck.

Answer : Yes there are bottom vent holes

Answer : Yes, and if there wasnt there would be after being used a few times.

Can you use coal in this fire pit

Answer : Yes that's how I start my fire and have had no problems.

Answer : I use the Duraflame 2 hr logs purchased at Walmart,...the instructions to use wood only on the grate provided in the fire pit.

would it fitt under a porch and lit?

Answer : There needs to be a 10 foot clearance around the product at all times. Thank you.

Cozy little fire

The one bad thing I can say about this is that the pan that holds the fire isn't secured to the base, meaning you can't rest your feet on the rim or an accidental nudge/kick while sitting down can shift or upend the basin. (Thankfully I've been careful and this hasn't happened.) Though I do think the non-connectedness is helpful for clean up.\n\nIt came in real useful for the cold nights at the Texas Renaissance Faire. I really like it though. I am pleased.

As expected

Product works as designed. A real bargain at ~$40. I like that it comes with 3 small holes drilled in the center of the dish to allow water to drain. Enjoy!

great product

Easy to put together used it the same night ....

Awesome

Awesome

Classy little fire pit!

I really love this sweet fire pit. My teen son and his friends have been enjoying it together, chatting around the "campfire"...LOL! Great purchase!

Perfect Fire Pit

I have a small patio and this is a perfect size fire pit. Super easy to assemble.

What i was looking for

Perfect size for me. Easy to assemble !

Have set it up but not used it yet

The set-up went fine. It was easy to do. I will be using it this weekend so hopefully it holds up. It was a good price.

This is quite small, but great for the price. I have a built in fire pit, this is being used as a second one.

great firepit what i expected

Easy to put together the pit is a little small but other then that love it

cheap

Spend a little extra and upgrade to a better product.

size counts

The fire pit is ok but the cover could have been deeper. Designed better, you can't use standard size wood you have to cut extra small to fit. If this is to take camping and don't need the top then its great. But for your patio be ready to cut small chunks of wood. Structure is GREAT and looks good just to small for me.

Good Value

Originally bought a 35" fire pit but it was too big for my patio so I returned it and bought this one. It was easy to assemble in about 10 minutes. I use 1/2 of a firelog and it burns nice. This pit is not real deep so when the top is on it is real close to the log or whatever you might be burning. There are vent/drain holes in the bottom of the pit and I put some heavy duty aluminum foil in the bottom and poked holes through the foil. I am hoping that the foil will delay the pit from rusting.

Back Porch Fire Pit

I bought it for a Christmas present but took a peek at it and it is everything that the online add showed it to be. Bought it for a small open back porch, I think the family will get great enjoyment out of it and won't have to be digging holes in the yard for a fire. Big enough and high enough for several to sit around it and kids to roast marshmallows.

I love this fire pit,Lightweight and simple.

Great

Just the right size to burn old tax returns and papers. I used small amount of lighter fluid with a small amount of papers (less than 1 inch thick) before lighting. Covered with screen and light.

Sturdy piece which assembled extremely fast

I really should have bought a fire pit for my patio years ago. The Mainstays 24" Fire Pit assembled extremely fast and simple. It is a great addition to my patio and even though we are nearly a mile above sea level in Albuquerque, we enjoy our patio and outdoor space ALL year. I have been using the Duraflame 2 hour logs purchased at Walmart and so far I have been outside in the evening on the patio relaxing by the fire pit.

Horrible product

I never write reviews but this fire pit was so bad I felt I needed to. It just arrived, what a piece of junk. I have never seen something so flimsy and not to mention the grate paint was chipped and all other pieces were completely bent, probably because it is so cheaply made. I could bend it with my hands. Please do not waste your money on this. I wouldn't take it for free. Last thing I need is this poorly made, super lightweight fire pit falling on a kid.

Great size.

Perfect for back patio. If you want a HUGE fire buy a HUGE pit.\nJust right to sit around and talk nothing big and smokey. Just perfect.

save your money

Save your money, this thing is piece of junk. The fire pit is not much thicker than a beer can and unless all you want to burn in it is paper it warps and will burn out after about 3 hot fires.
