Does this work with Windows 7

Answer : Yes, I used it to read a SD memory card from my camera on my Windows 7 computer and had no problems at all.

Answer : yes

Answer : yes

Answer : Yes, i use it on WINDOWS 7, that's the only os i use :)

Answer : Yes. I just plugged it in to my win 7 64bit and it showed up as a removable disk with a card inserted. does not show up without a card.

Answer : Yes, it is universally compatible with all MAC and PC operating platforms.

One customer said that there is a USB cord. Does this retract back into the unit, or is it a separat

Answer : It's a separate cord.

Answer : It is part of it- not a cord, but does not retract.

Answer : It's a separate cord, but it's not really necessary, since the reader plugs easily into the side-mounted USB ports on my laptop.

Answer : The USB cord is a separate extention cord. The unit can plug directly into a laptop USB port or you can use the extention cable to make it easier to plug in the memory cards.

Does this card read military ID card ?

I want to buy this reader if it can read my army ID card . thank you.

Answer : No. It's not a card scanner.

Answer : This isn't for ID cards, it is for memory cards like the ones you use in cameras. It is meant for storage devices, not strips.

It was a great value... now not so much

I read some of the mixed reviews, but at less than 7 dollars I was willing to gamble. It worked great with my CompactFlash cards I use for my 7D. As one reviewer noted it is easy to bend the pins when inserting your FC cards, so I always proceeded with caution but after a few months I too bent a pin. I was able to bend the pin back and continued to use the card with success for a while. To quote another review 'it worked great until it didn't work.' I thought the problem might have been my CF card so I used it with an SD card that I knew worked, and nothing. The computer never recognized the reader. Apparently the USB aspect of this reader just died out of the blue. It was the first card reader I have ever used that simply stopped working. Liking the product and the price up until this point I was excited to buy three more of them today and consider them as disposable but when I learned the price increased by more than 3 dollars I am revisiting the decision and looking into other options.

good card reader

This thing worked great in my PC and quick, I'm buying another one.

Inexpensive and works

My new printer did not have a slot to fit my camera card and I had lost my camera cable. A new cable would have cost much more than this small piece of equipment. This reader cost very little and is easier to keep up with than a cable. I highly recommend it.

So easy to use

This is one very simple easy to use tool! I frequently transfer files from SD cards to PC back and forth all the time, this little tool makes it very easy to do. Works perfect on Windows 7 64bit. It has a handy cord if you don't have room to plug the card reader in to the PC. If your computer doesn't have a card reader, get this one!

Price changes often...product is still great

This is sort of an odd shaped item so it fits a little weirdly in with my jump drives but it works just as I need it to so the shape I can live with. The price dropped the day after I bought it and then went back up higher thant what I paid the next day. Not sure what that's all about but thought it was interesting. I gave it 4 stars on value because I would have (of course) liked to pay the lesser price! Good product and well worth it.

Quick Pic View

I was very happy with the Kodak A250 50-in-1 card reader. Plug and play. Worked very good. Some other card readers I have used leave marks on the contacts of my card so I was worried about damage to my card. I am happy to say there are no marks left behind after removing the card from the reader. Also I see some other stores wanted munch more money for the same item. I am one happy puppy!

Does everything it claims. Works well. I recommend buying it.

Works Fine

i got this back in May 2011 and i use it every day.\nI only use the SD & CF slots and it has worked Flawlessly for almost 2 years now....if you handle this reader with care and insert your cards correctly it will last, i'm proof of that.\nI do recommend this reader......the only thing i don't like is the width but i can live with it.

the pins for the compact flash bent the second time that i used it. i am now looking for a better quality one.

Works with ipad 2

I got this as I was having trouble loading pictures from my SD card to my ad 2. When I attach this directly to the ipad and insert my SD card it works like a charm.

Works great; fast.

Great Card Reader for Digital Photography class

It is very light weight and easy to use, I have no problem using the card reader.

After I spent hours trying to fix my CF drive, I gave up and found this product. It was 7 bucks and shipped super fast. Works like it should and I'm back to having my camera in my kids' faces all the time!

Great!

Very pleased with this product. It's so convenient, I keep with in camera bag. Right when I get home, I download the pictures right away with this. I was always annoyed by the cable that came with the camera to tranfer pictures.

Excellent and handy product. Love it!

Great Product, well worth the $$

It is easy to use, even my husband can use it easily and he doesn't use computers very much at all. We will never use it for all the cards indicated, but it works great and the cost was hardly anything.

I would recommed this one

The USB cord that came my Fuji Camera would work.\nThe didn't have in stock. I saw it available at store I shop\nat. So I had get gift order it. I very easy use. A friend recommend\nI look memory card reader instead getting another camera.

Easy to use, excellent value.

If you have an older computer that doesn't have a SD card reader, this is a perfect solution. It is super simple: open the package, plug into USB port, and insert memory card. Your computer will prompt you when it recognizes that a new device has been connected, and all you have to do is follow its instructions in order to upload your pictures, or whatever information you are transferring. It couldn't be simpler. And at around five dollars, it couldn't be more affordable. There are more expensive options, but they don't seem to be necessary considering this piece of equipment is sturdy and well made, and reads almost any type of memory card one could have.

Very nice

I got this and the first thing I saw was the size of it and I was thinking this is not going to balance out in my USB port and then when I opened the package to my surprise there was a USB extension wire and that made this work perfect for everything, So I put it to use and it works perfect for everything that I have, This was well worth the purchase price, No installing software to add videos, Just copy & paste or drag & drop, either way this is perfect, Love it
