what a size!

this pan is awesome! Holds lots of food and makes a great one skillet meal. The depth of the pan makes it rock!

Love this product

So nice its one of the best fryers I have had in a long time

A good family dinner pan

I got this to go in our rental condo. Everything needs to go in the dishwasher and you never seem to have a big enough pan to cook in on vacation! I haven't used it yet but the weight and feel of it seem to be of good quality and doesn't look like it's thin enough to warp. The bottom has a series of rings cut into it like a bulls eye, and I assume it's for this reason. The flat bottom ones that I have had always warp after a while. The lid fits tight and the handle on the far side is going to come in handy when it's loaded with food. The pan is about a foot in diameter so we will see how it conducts the heat when it gets on the big burner. I like that with the handles oven safe to 350, you can put the whole thing in the oven to keep food warm. I don't think I would bake in it but that's just personal preference. You could fit about a 2 lb roast in this pan with potatoes and carrots, start it on the stove to sear the meat and finish in the oven on 300 to slow cook it. It's really big! I will try and come back to review after I have used it for a while.

Farberware non stick pot

I really love this skillet. It gave a perfect sear on my chicken thighs!

Frying pan is a must to purchase!

It was more than I expected. I love the look and was a great size. Real good for those that might want to cook a lot of chicken. I do recommend it for large quanity of food. My daughter saw it and wanted one. She has a large family (a family of five) and said it could hold a large amount of hamburger helper which her family loves for her to cook. I was trying to add a little red in my kitchen and it look great. Really loving it and recommend it.

Bottom became rounded

After the first use the bottom of the cooker became rounded. It does not sit flat on the cooktop thus making it difficult to use.\n\nThis is our second (and last) attempt with this cooker.

A high quality, high capacity covered skillet

I ordered this Faberware 6.0 quart jumbo cooker for several reasons. Number one, I did not have a covered skillet at all. Two, my largest frying pan is only ten inches across. Three, I've started cooking more and more dishes requiring a covered skillet. Fourth, the price was more reasonable than for most other covered skillets I've seen in store and online.\n\nFor some reason, buying a skillet with an actual lid becomes insanely expensive. This one was more reasonably priced than most covered skillets I've seen online and in stores. I did not buy this on sale and used the internet to save time; it's two buses each way and a grand total of five hours round trip for me to travel to my nearest Walmart store. For that reason, I am extremely happy this skillet is available both in store (making it a very nice holiday gift) and on the internet (for those who either don't drive or live more than 20 minutes total travel time from a Walmart store).\n\nNow to the skillet itself. This skillet is very high quality -- you expect that from Farberware -- and has a nice second handle to help you lift it as it is heavier than your average skillet. This skillet is HUGE! It literally will not fit in my tiny apartment sink. So if you have a smaller sink or a divided sink, you are likely to have similar issues with washing it.\n\nThis skillet is much bigger than I thought. I am not used to skillets being described in terms of quarts, so coming in I had no clue just how huge this one would be. It's actually about three times bigger than I need as a single woman living in an apartment. For that reason, I don't suggest this skillet for single individuals or couples; it's just too big if you are cooking less than five servings at a time in it! For families, however, I can well imagine this is much better suited since you can readily cook eight or more servings (likely a lot more than eight) at a time in it.\n\nSo cooking for one/two get a different one. Cooking for six or more...this one is just right!\n\nI also suggest cleaning this in a dishwasher; it overwhelms sinks!

I Love it!

This jumbo cooker is perfect for my needs. Deep pan, can hold 6 quarts, has two handles, feels sturdy and comes with a lid. I am very happy with it. There is nothing cheap feeling or looking about it, quality all the way.

Is GREAT cookware.

It is a very large fry pan, big enough for family size, one pot meal preparation. Extra DEEP to fry foods, with less splatter of the oil everywhere. Easy clean up, inside and out. The glass lid is GREAT, you can see when your meal is getting done; instead of having to open, every few minutes, allowing the heat to escape, and taking LONGER to cook. The two handles make it easy to handle, when moving from a back burner to a front, or to put in the oven, to allow your meal to bake for a crispier texture, (but NOT with frying oils in pan)FIRE HAZARD!, up to 350 degrees.\nHave cooked everything from steaks, chops, hamburgers, is great to make gravy with the pan drippings, pasta dishes, also homemade POT pie, just cover leftovers, with pre-made store refridgerated, bought pie crust, (I don,t do everything) HA! HA!, baste with butter, for flakey, crispy crust(Bake finish), have even made soup, after cooking the meat in the same pan, GREAT added flavor. pan is a little to deep for ease for French toast or pancakes. LOVE THIS PAN! I have since bought another one. Gotta go, I made myself hungry. Time to go cook!

Easy to clean and large enough for 1 pot meals.

AWESOME

A BIT PRICEY BUT I'D BUY IT AGAIN.GREAT SIZE & LOVE THE DEPTH.CAN COOK 5 LBS OF HAMBURGER AT A TIME IF U NEED TO.NICE BOTTOM FOR EVEN HEATING.I CANT FIND ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THIS PAN.

Just the ticket for larger meals!

This is such a great pan for the price! With my arthritis, the extra handle makes it so easy to move about. And the depth makes it perfect for chicken and even my candied yams. I can make a large batch then have leftovers for another meal. I love this pan. The only way they could improve it is to put a steam vent in the lid. Otherwise, perfect!

Great

I used this to make rice. We are a big family, so it's really helpful.

Farberware 6-Quart Covered Jumbo Cooker, Red

Nice size cooker will hold a lot.

Excellent Cooker

I'm happy with this purchase. I would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a new nonstick skillet.

Big, deep, heavy, and good quality.

The jumbo cooker is big enough to cook just about any dish I prepare for a family of five. It is deep enough for stews and casseroles. Cleanup is easy and the quality is better than I expected for the price. Storage is difficult because of the size.

Great for large family cooking.

Best large fry pan I have ever used. Now I'm going to buy the rest of them.

Perfect size when cooking for the family!

I received this as a gift and love it. When I cook for my family there are 15+ that show up. Great for cooking large portions, plus it's deep enough, so as to not spill over when turning food. I bought this for my son, who loves to cook, for a birthday present. He loves it too.

Nice and big...

Nice big, deep skillet. Can easily fry a whole chicken at once. Great value for the money.

Exactly Size We Needed

Needed a bigger size skillet for the family size I have. This works wonderfully with the size and the glass lid.
