Answer : walmart

Answer : they should be by the toy at walmart stores.

JUST OK TOY

MY DOG LOVES CHEW TOYS. HOWEVER, SHE DOES NOT SEEM TO LIKE THIS TOY AS MUCH AS I THOUGHT SHE WOULD. MAYBE FOR A DOG, OR PUPPY, JUST STARTING OUT ON CHEW TOYS. MOSTLY, THIS JUST SITS AROUND. WHEN I THROW IT AND TELL HER TO GET IT, SHE JUST LOOKS AT ME LIKE I DON'T THINK SO. SHE WILL GET ANOTHER TOY INSTEAD. IT'S A NEAT IDEA TO BE ABLE TO PUT CHEW DISCS ON THE TOY. I ASSUME YOU CAN BUY REPLACMENT RAW HIDE RINGS. THE PACKAGE SAYS YOU CAN, BUT IT DOESN'T SAY WHERE. I CAN ONLY ASSUME AT WALMART. IT COMES WITH WITH FOUR RAW HIDE RINGS THAT YOU PUT ON IT. SO, YOU WOULD BUY A PACKAGE OF FOUR AT A TIME, AND REPLACE THE ONES THAT NEED IT, OR REPLACE ALL FOUR AT ONE TIME TO KEEP IT FRESH AND NEW. MAYBE, IF THE CHEWS WERE CHICKEN FLAVOR OR BEEF FLAVOR RATHER THAN RAWHIDE SHE WOULD LIKE IT BETTER! THIS TOY, JUST ISN'T FOR HER. AS WITH ALL ANIMALS SOME LKIE CERTAIN THINGS WHILE OTHERS DO NOT. IT'S HARD TO FIND THE RIGHT TOY FOR THE RIGHT DOG. HOPE YOURS LIKES IT BETTER!

Toy is neat but treats get eaten too fast

Being an owner that appreciates exercise and working out I like the name and concept. However, my medium size dog eats the plates (snacks) very quickly. These would be ok but the refills are a bit pricey. One option is to purchase the thickest ones made and attach those. At least they may last a little longer. Now let me say my dog does like these, actually too much, but he doesn't have to purchase the treats.

Not worth the trouble

I have a very large golden retriever who enjoys chewing hard plastic dog toys. I found the packaging was very hard to open. The dog toy itself needs to be unscrewed from each end so that a thin, circular raw-hide disc can be inserted in between it, then re-screwed. My dog initially loved it, but I was disappointed that he was able to eat 2 of the 4 included discs in 5 minutes. Afterwards, he did really enjoy chewing on the toy itself. Unfortunately, after 1 night, it looked as though he had been chewing the toy for months. The hard plastic was literally chewed into & disfigured. I don't believe it held up like it should have. The other issue is that I don't like the thought of having to replace the raw-hide discs. In all fairness, this toy would probably be fine for a medium size dog if you don't mind replacing the discs. It could also be chewed on without using the disc at all. I believe it would be too big/heavy for a small dog. I feel it should have held up better, which is why I only rated it 3 star.

Dogs love

dogs loved it, but got in fights over it! LOL

Not what I'd expected

Even though this was a medium size for dogs about 30 lbs, my two 10 lb Pomeranians and 5 month old, 12 lb Pomeranian mix could handle it without a problem. Unfortunately they all lost interest as soon as the rawhide was gone. If given a choice, they preferred nylabone chews. The instructions were complete and easy to follow. Rawhide discs fit on the ends of the chew toy correctly. I found that having two discs with what I call "spacers" between discs was unnecessary, one on each end would have worked as well. The ends did come loose while the dogs chewed on it. I caught it before the ends came completely off. This could definitely be a problem if a dog started chewing on loose smaller parts. It was easy to get the chew toy off the cardboard, but getting the discs out of the plastic was a problem and I ended up cutting the package in pieces to get to them. There are many other dog chew toys on the market with edible additions that I think are better and safer. Don't think I would get another one.

Nicely Made

I wasn't too keen on giving my dog a treat that contains sorbitol, but I let him have the Chewzie, and he seemed to love it. The barbell was made nice enough, but I worry about a medium to large dog destroying it because of the size and the two green circles that hold the treats in place could be swallowed.\n\nSeems sturdy enough and doesn't look as if it would splinter/break. I would definitely monitor the dog when it is chewing on it. I have a medium dog that can chew up anything, but he didn't on this one; that's a big plus.

Charlie loved it

Our Dachshund-mixed breed dog looks more like a "brat dog" than a “wiener dog” and seems to have the teeth of a German Shepherd. So we are always looking for treats that he finds tasty but are tough enough to keep him busy for more than a couple of minutes.\n\nWe picked up the new Chewzie bar bell toy in the medium size for Charlie to add to the long line of things we’ve tried as rewards and distractions.\n\nChewzie comes with one set of treats, disc-shaped, that get inserted between threaded sections of the plastic “bone”. It’s a great idea to have replaceable inserts on a chew toy. And they must be tasty because less than ten minutes after presenting the new toy to Charlie, the flavored, edible discs were gone.\n\nBarely a mark on the plastic bone and he hasn’t touched it since! I’m planning on getting refills and experimenting with options to get him to gnaw on the bone, too, instead of just ripping the inserts out!\n\nOr maybe the “big dog” version would accomplish the same thing. It might also be beneficial for the Chewzie folks to toughen up the inserts – maybe die-cut them from flavored rawhide.

chew toy

The dogs loved it, several of them played and tugged over it. It got taken outside and was chased around the back yard for a while. Installing the chew disc was very easy and quick, you can really tighten down on the disc to make sure that, the disc do not slip off during play time. The barbell has a good solid feel to it. The disc are seperated by a foam insert, no damage was done to the foam inserts, during the chewing process. The barbell allowed the discs to be chewed at a slow rate, this should help in reducing choking on a small pieces. But, supervision should always be used with chew toys. After the discs are chewed off, it's just a simple process to rinse the barbell off and dry it. Some people may want to wear gloves if your dog is a drooler and leaves a mess on the barbell. I tried to find refills for the barbell at my local store, but none were in stock. I guess this will be an online order or bought at another store that carries refills. Overall this is a good product the only shortfalls is if your store doesn't carry the refills and could be a messy clean up if the dogs carry it outside on a rainy day and drag it through the mud.

New toy

I was excited when I got this dog toy along with the other one. Pulled it out of the package and put in together in no time at all. I gave this to my smaller dog and she laid down and started chewing on the bone immediately, she chewed on it for quite awhile before she realized that the discs on it were actually treats. She had a little bit of problems chewing them off, but after the first one she figured it out. It took her over an hour to chew off all four of the disc rings and she seemed to be satisfied and she started looking around for more. She laid back down and started chewing on the bone again and then all of a sudden she had to throw up. Afterwards I went and checked and she seemed to throw up the treats. So I don't know if it didn't set well on her tummy or if there is an ingredient that didn't set well. So I don't know if I would recommend this to anyone or not. I guess that all you could do is buy one and see how your dog reacts to it. My question is where do you buy more treat discs at and how much are they?

My pup liked it

My dog loves anything she can chew on (including furniture). I gave her this toy and she played with it for hours. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because my dog ate the disks on the ends pretty quickly and then tore the green spacers off soon after. She still plays with the plastic bone part.

Dog Chew Treat

My normally fussy little mini-schnauzer was excited with this chew treat. She loved it and wouldn't put it down until it was gone. She walked around with it hanging out of her mouth like a cigar. I can't think of another treat that she liked as much. After the rawhide was gone she even took the holder to bed with her. I'll need to get some refills soon. It was definitely a treat that she really enjoyed. This chewy did not leave a mess on the carpet or hardwood floors either which is another plus.

You must buy the right size

You put this barbell together by unscrewing the ends, then put on the rawhide rings on both sides of the rubber spacer and screw back together. You get 4 rawhide rings in the pack. I have an 8 month old Boxer so I thought a medium might work for him but he chewed into the plastic so I had to take it away. I was really hoping this would work because he fell in love with it and took it everywhere he went for days. The built in reward kept him interested. Then one day he disappeared which is unusual for him (he's always under foot or sitting next to us) and we found him hiding under our bed. He was chewing off the nylon ends but only on one side. The other sill had the rawhide rings.\n\nI went to Chewzie Dog.com website and it stated I needed a large for a boxer. The small (uses refill size A) is for pugs, Jack Russell Terriers or a Yorkie. The medium (which uses a refill size B) is for Beagle, Border Collie or Spaniel. Large dogs (refill size C) are considered Retriever, Shepherd or Boxer.\n\nThe barbell is made of "durable nylon" with natural rubber spacers and you need to buy refill packs for your rawhide rings. I will buy the Chewzie Barbell in a large for him because this really is a fun toy but even with a bigger size he will be supervised when chewing a Chewzie.

Fun chew toy for your favorite dog!

I have a 2 year old German Shepard. She spends a lot of time indoors and we try to occupy her with chew toys. This chew toy caught my eye because it looks like you can "install" raw hide rings onto this.\n\nThe chew toy came with 4 rawhide rings. The "bone" part of the chew toy was hard plastic. On both ends, there's two knobs you can "unscrew". These knobs are smoothed over so your dog can't poke herself/himself. You can install the raw hide rings, and then screw the knobs back in. At first, I was concerned these might come loose. But they ended up staying on pretty good.\n\nWhen I first gave it to my dog, she sniffed at it and looked at it skeptically. She sniffed some more and left it alone. I walked away. Then 10 minutes later, I came back and she was chewing on this toy intently. She worked on this for over 1 hour until all the rawhides were gone. (I've uploaded a video). Then she dropped it and moved on to something else. Please keep in mind that my shepard is 95 lbs. She goes through Bullysticks in 10 minutes or less. So for her to have worked on this for 1 hour was remarkable.\n\nConclusion: this is a fun chew toy with raw hide rings that can be installed to make your pet more interested in it. How long this will last will likely depend on your dog's size. But I like the idea that I can put more rawhide rings on it if I wanted to. Also, you don't have to put all 4 rings on. you could put 1, 2, 3 or 4 on. I would recommend this to any dog owner that has a dog that likes to chew.

Great dog toy Dog treat combination

I must say I was totally amazed by this product. I have one of the pickiest Beagles around. She does not like anything. She will not eat dog food and there is only one treat that she will eat. So when I ordered this I really did not have much faith that she would even look at it. I started to open the package and she was in the kitchen next to me sniffing the package and she would not leave. I handed her the toy and she took off with it and played a little throwing it around and then she laid down and chewed on the raw hide. She even took it under the bed her favorite place that she goes to chew on her favorite bones and took it outside with her and brought it back in. It took her about 30 minutes to get the raw hide off. She loved it. I couldn't believe it. Finally a toy and treat she likes. The Toy is made of a hard plastic and it has 4 spots for the raw hides to be put on. The ends of the toy screw off and it is very easy to get them off. So you just unscrew the ends and put the raw hide pieces on and then screw the ends back on. I was a little Leary of the ends coming off when she ate the raw hide with the spacing left. But they did not. The other part I was concerned about was how she was going to get all of the the raw hide off of the toy the way it is placed on it, but she did not have any problem. The price for a medium sized one is $6.99 so I don't think that is to bad. Especially when it is also a toy after the raw hide is gone. The refills are $7.99 for 16 rawhide pieces I don't think that is to bad for something that she actually likes. There really is no mess with it maybe a few small pieces of raw hide that she dropped but there really is no clean up. I will be purchasing the refills for this. The only downside is how it is packaged. My hands do not work very well due to arthritis and it took me longer to open the package then it did to put the toy together. It is very hard to open and that was with a very sharp scissors. So yes to this pet toy/treat I am very happy with it.

Great product

I give this product five stars, however the packaging I would give only three. I Suffer from a disease that causes weakness in my hands. So it was very difficult to get open. If elderly persons or anyone that has a weakness problem the packaging is very hard to open. It took me almost five minuets to get open, and this was using scissors as well. After getting it open it was very easy to put the treats together with the toy. My little dog was very happy with it and really enjoyed playing and tasting this produc for about 2 hours and has carried it around for the last two days even slept with it. I would recommend the product 100 %. However I would suggest better packaging. " Joker" and I wish to thanks you for a chance to review this delicious product.

Super heavy duty doggie chew toy

This toy really holds up against my 50 lb dog. She loves to chew and carry a toy around all the time. First she chewed the rawhide disks off and ate them then she carried it around and took it to bed with her. Assembly is easy with large screw-in pieces on the ends. After she ate the ring off I tightened the ends and it was like a regular heavy duty bone for her to enjoy.

Good product for dogs

I received the product to try it out and see if it held up against a German Shephard chewing on it. My dog loved it and it still it one piece and i can buy the replacement treat. Its so worth getting for a dog

Chewzie Dog Medium Barbell Dog Toy

My dog Max loves this toy. He can not tear it up or chew it up like other toys he has gotten in the past. This toy is awesome because it's like a 2 in one toy. It came with 4 pieces of rawhide chews that you attach to the toy that he can actually eat and when he is out of them he can still play and chew and chase and fetch the toy bone. I'm not sure what it is made of but I know it is tough enough that your dog will not break it. I have had toys simular to this toy and my dog loves it and he can not break it or chew through it. I would recommend this to anyone who has a small to medium dog that you and your dog would enjoy playing with and will last a long time. You can also buy refill chew rawhide for the toy barbell chewzie. I have included a couple pictures here to show you how my dog Max has been enjoying it! Thank you walmart spark review! Max loves this toy!

Best toy ever

Buy with the chewzy rawhide rings. My dog goes nuts over these--she is a big chewer and anything that keeps her preoccupied is wonderful. The first time I gave her the toy, it took her several hours to get the rawhide ring. Now it takes her less than 15 minutes, but its still something she never tires of. I buy a pack of the rings every 3-4 weeks. It's definitely worth it becuse she gets bored with regular bones and other chew toys.
