Love it

The bike looks great and is lighter weight than I anticipated. Love the color. It rides really smooth

Worth the price

Everything works well. The seat is comfortable for the short rides I have taken. Some cheap mountain bikes have short frames so that the front wheel hits the toe in turns but not this one, the frame is full size. This bike is a hardtail in spite of the full suspension in its name but that is a plus as rear suspensions are too squirmy for efficient riding on pavement. I do not plan to bounce down mountainsides and chose this style bike because I wanted a multispeed bike without skinny 700C wheels. I wish the front wheel had quick release to pop the bike in my car easier. I wish the seat did not because it makes the seat easier to steal and once the seat is adjusted the release is not needed anyways. The GZ looks nice and is well put together.

Excellent Bike

It was a little difficult to build but I'm a disabled vet. It arrived in excellent shape, no scratches or dents. The cables were the difficult part. Had to disassemble the brake unit a bit to get it to fit. Once assembled it was great. Perfect ride, shifting was easy with the analog dial. The only question I have that no one can answer is how to get replacement disc pads. I read the manual and can't find an address, website, or number to call. So I don't know what to do when the pads wear out. Guess I'll keep trying to call customer service.

Great bike for the price

Was skeptical before buying. Loved it, the looks are awesome and you turn a lot of heads. Go ahead buy it. you will love it, at least i did.

Had to exchange...

There was a problem with the back wheel. My son rode this bike a few days, then had a blowout. We took it back to our Wal-Mart and they replaced the tube; brought it home and it did the same thing. They offered to give refund or exchange for a different bike, because they don't carry this one.\nThis Bicycle looks amazing!\nWe were very pleased with the design,\njust wish it wasn't defective. :(

Very fair bike for the price.

I got this bike with doubts but it is a very nice bike.\nThe frame has nice welds and most of the Shimano parts are of decent value. The makers could have used a Shimano v brake set but that would have drove up the cost. I have customized this bike with higher end Shimano parts like the crank set and front derailleur as well as V brakes. It certainly is cheaper then paying $2000 dollars for a Trek MTB. Simply put this bike is surprisingly built for what I paid.\nOne must know is that you should have some knowledge about bike adjustments and derailleurs and such not. "big box bikes" hardly are ever tweaked for the user and at times the buyer blames the bike company.

Don't order

Stay a way from purchasing this bike. Gear shifting is horrible, sounds like the bike is going to fall apart

Nothing to catchy...

When i received the bike it was poorly put together. And chain kept jamming.

Great bike! However....

I really like this bike. It's what I expected it be; lightweight, comfortable and performs well. However I learned the hard way that Walmart does not assemble bike purchased online. Fortunately I have a lot of patience putting it together. Expect to spend extra money and bring it to a bike shop expert just to be on a safe side. Otherwise I would have rated this bike 5 stars. Safe riding!

Smooth Ride

Item shipped right on time. Simple assembly. For the price a very nice looking and smooth ride. Only issue I had was it shipped with a damaged rear inner tube which I had to replace for about $10.00 at Wal-Mart No adjustments needed on gears all in all a really nice bike for the price

Not Quite What I Thought

The bike wasn't quite what I thought it would be like. More mountain bike than hybrid but overall a nice ride.

good bike

After tuning and changing regular brakes for Shimano Asera v brakes this bike become a little treasure. Thanks

26" Genesis GZ Men's Bike

This bike is a very good bike. I wish the bike came with better assembly instructions for this bike only. There are some instructions that are not for this bike & there are some instructions that should have been included for this bike that were not included. After taking some time to sort out what was what it went together without any problem. You can not adjust the handle bar position any higher than the way it comes. Not shown in the assembly instructions.

Excellent quality, great welds, smooth ride and cheap price compared to equal bikes.

Looks great, feels great, very light!

This bike compared to other mountain bikes is much lighter. The gears are smooth and easy to switch. Love this bike!

Great bike

I have had this bike for over a month and ride it all the time. Got a great price on it at Walmart. Seems solid and shifts great. Can't beat it for the price.

Just purchased

This bike is advertised as being a 21-speed. I just picked mine up and got it home for a test ride. The first thing I noticed is that it is a 7-speed. The left shifter is labeled "Friction +/-", the right shifter has gears 1-7. I like the bike and think the gears will be sufficient on the trail, but for road riding the extra gears would be nice.?

Simple Genesis Bike

This bike is amazing for the price and I recommend a tune up the day you take the bike out of the box or pick it up at the store. The brakes are a little difficult to adjust at first but once the bleed out, they are work GREAT!\n\nYou definitely need a seat cover because the stock one is a little hard to handle. The tires work great in the dirt or on the road. Be careful when putting on the bike pedals because if you put them on wrong you could have to do what I did and buy a new crank ($50), so be warned. Overall the bike rides smoothly, the gears shift great and haven't had any problems with the bike.\n\nAlso, if you decide to put the bike together yourself, make sure you have an Allen Wrench and a socket set! I will be buying new handlebars as well just so I can sit more comfortably on the bike. Gel seat covers range ($15-25) at Wal-Mart and work very nicely. Hope this helps further purchases

Great bike for the price.

I've had this bike a little over a week now, and I am very pleased with it's ride. Very smooth. Once the cables got their "initial stretch" out of the way, brakes and gears adjusted easily. (Leaned the adjustment process on YouTube). The Shimano® gear system shifts accurately, and the "V-Brake" style brakes do their job nicely.\nI ride Pennsylvania foothill streets. (Some hills are steep).\nI know that this is not a $6,000 mountain bike, nor do I plan to take it to the mountains to test its limits. But for $150, I got a great, smooth-riding bike that was easy to assemble and adjust, goes up the steepest hills with ease, and stops when I need it to for riding around my neighborhood.\nExcellent value.
