Very cool bike and easy to assemble

I ordered this bike online for my 5 year old son and was delivered to my home in a few days just for a 97 cent shipping charge. We had seen this bike in some other stores but Walmart had the most competitive price. Some of the pieces need to be assembled but it was pretty easy for my husband to do it. My son loves this bike because of the "Cars" carather and it is perfect for his age and I guess it may be good until he turns 8. My son's height and weight is in the average 80%.

Nice looking but had problems

My son loves the way the bike looks, but it is a little heavy and hard to pedal - probably not an issue once there is no need for training wheels, but makes it difficult for a young child just learning to pedal. The front fork was too narrow and could not fit the front wheel - I saw several others with the same problem for Huffy bikes when I did an internet search - I finally was able to get the fork spread apart by using a little car jack, but it wasn't easy. The training wheels are a little hard to get evenly flush with the ground but that's pretty minor. It's hard to keep the seat adjusted up off the frame. The tires need to be inflated, so make sure you have a good pump. If you plan to get this bike, I recommend having the store or a bike shop assemble it.

Front tire won't fit into the frame.

I purchased this bike for my son as a Christmas present. When we tried to assemble it we found out that the front wheel doesn't fit correctly on to the bike frame. The space in between the fork where the tire goes on is too small. After trying to make it fit and looking on the Huffy website I couldn't find anything and decided to try Google. I soon found out that there are a lot of Huffy bikes with this problem. The way to fix it is to bend the fork so that the tire can fit. I'm planning on returning it as soon as possible. You shouldn't have to buy a product and the have to bend anything to get it to do what it was originally made for. Overall the bike looks amazing and my son was really looking forward to riding it, but I guess he will have to wait till we get another bike. Hopefully the next one was made properly.

Nice bike!

My grandson loves his new bike, especially the tool kit on the front. He has as much fun "working" on his bike as riding it. It is also very well made.

Good value!

Remembering that this is a $60 dollar bike, this seems to be a very good value. Assembled easily (though instructions were not very clear, not specific to this particular bike), the frame and wheels seems of solid construction, rides smooth. The pedals are cheap plastic (not sure how long they will hold up long term but I'm sure they can be replaced very easily if needed) and the tool kit is a bit gimmicky; otherwise, no major complaints, my son loves the bike and it looks good.

Good bike for the money!

I like this bike for what I paid for it. Walmart's price was much less than others, even though this bike was extremely difficult to find. I really liked the tool kit that comes with it, especially considering that the tools actually fit the nuts/bolts on the bike. My son loved it, and I had no complaints about it. The only thing I have an issue with is the tool kit is difficult to open and it's tricky getting it to slide back into the bracket. I also want to mention that FedEx lost the first bike that Walmart shipped. After I did some research and discovered that it was missing, I contacted Walmart customer service and they overnighted a new one for me free of charge. I really appreciated their compassion, as this was a Christmas gift.

Great bike for my little one

Great bike, especially for the value. Have had a problem with the training wheels coming lose on more than one occasion. Luckily I caught it and tightened them before it resulted in an injury, but it's irritating and scary to think that they could come flying off the one time that I don't notice.

My 3 old son loves this bike, worth every penny 10/10

Nice bike, once assembled

Once assembled, overall nice. However, step one of inserting front tire into fork was an issue. No way it was fitting in there and eventually bent fork to make fit. Wasn't happy about that! Other than time wasted on that, assembly pretty easy. 53 year old grandma did it! And the toolbox was huge hit with grandson, knew it would be, he loves his new bike!

Price does not reflect the quality

This bike should be priced much lower (we were charged $69) given the lack of attention given to the construction. The decorative stickers were mis-applied and had to be straighted, flattened, adjusted in general. Given the higher price, I wouldn't expect to have to fix small details like this. The box was damaged in shipping and some of the bolts and nuts necessary to put it together were missing; it would have been just like putting together any other bike had the pieces not been missing. We have purchased other character and non-character bikes from Walmart for much less and received much better quality. Once you replace the missing pieces and either fix or ignore the mis-applied decorations, the bike is fine...just not for $69. You can get the same quality for much less. The bike itself is a bike - works just fine.

very nice bike. It was easy to assemble and is very well made. It was shipped free from Walmart and arrived in 2 days. Great service from Walmart, as usual!

Huffy Disney

Overall a very easy to assemble bike for a child. Our Grandson just loves it and the toolbox. Cannot talk about the durability as we have only had it a few weeks. Was easy to set up and attach everything. They did try and fool me by leaving the rear nuts for the wheel loose even though they had attached the rear wheel. Not a problem as long as you check everything before you let the little one ride away. Wheels are un-inflated so one needs a pump or a compressor to inflate them. Overall I would recommend to anyone with a young son or Grandson.

Good 1st bike for the money

You can tell it's no Schwinn, but then for only $60, what can you expect. And since kids are just going to destroy their stuff--this is the right price!

My 4 year old loves this bike!

We got this bike for my 4year old son after returning a 12" bike that was way too small. He loves it. It took him some time to feel secure sitting on it because it can wobble a little bit with the training wheels (But I think this is true for all bikes with training wheels). The tool kit on the front is one reason why we bought this bike, which our son LOVED! However, all the little pieces out of the tool kit were lost within 2 days. We ordered it shipped to store and Wal-mart put it together for us, which you can not beat that deal! It is a very sturdy and well made bike, worth every dime!

Difficult to put together

Directions could have been more clear - had to look at the box to really put it together.

Great bike for a beginner.

I was impressed at the design of the bike and it would have been easy to set up if there were not several pipes that had to be modified a little to make the other pieces fit in to them. Some of the pipes looked like they had been bent and were not true, they probably came from the factory that way. The chain guard is plastic and was broken and had to be wired together in order for it to stay away from the chain. The rear reflector was broken and had to be super glued, other wise everything else was a piece of cake. I would have sent it back, but my grandson was looking forward to riding it as his birthday was a week ago. Your service as always is great. Maybe you should complain to Huffy about how they don't make sure everything is made right, fits right and is shipped appropriately to reduce damage to their product. I have bought many Huffy bikes in the past and have never bought one that was this difficult to assemble.

Smart Bicycle

Product delivered timely. Easy set-up, quality materials especially the tires. Product wrapped totally for protection from scratches etc. Has training wheels, adjustable seat made from soft material. My son's first bicycle and very happy with it.

My son loves it

This bike was supposed to be the Xmas gift under the tree for my son but it was delivered late by Walmart! That is why I'm only giving 4 star. But Walmart make up for their short coming. They have refunded the shipping fee and gave me a ten dollar egift card. But overall my son is enjoying his cars bike.

This Bike is Fantastic!!

My son absolutely loved this when Santa brought it for him on Christmas! I bought this after a lot of reviewing other bicycles. This seemed perfect for my boy. He loves to work on things, fix stuff! The tool kit is a wonderful idea! I am deployed in Afghanistan and my parents, his granma and granpa said that it is so much more beautiful in person that pics do NOT do it justice! The brilliant red and the stickers, the way it is put together it is very well made they said. I got to see him on cam and he loved it. Cannot wait to be home with him and watch him ride it. Thank you Huffy for such a great idea and bicycle! My son is a HUGE CARS fan... so this was a hit all the way around! Hope this helps everyone... Merry Christmas back home and Happy New Year 2013!!! Best, Ryan D.

Good Quality, sketchy on some things

The price is what really drew me in on this one, I'll be honest. Other bicycles from big name maunfacturers were 20 - 30 dollars more. This bicycle assembled fairly easily, however, I would strongly recommend an adjustable wrench or channel lock pliers for assembly. The instructions were very short on details and pictures, but if you have ever owned a bicycle, then it's all pretty straight forward. The only problem I had during assembly and the reason I recommend adjustable wrenches is the nuts on the bicycle. The instructions said they were 9/16" ASE, but they actually varied. My 9/16" wrench fit on one of the nuts, but it was too big or too small for the rest. I don't know if this is a problem with the amount of paint on them or if it is just a quality control thing. Anyhow, I grabbed my adjustable wrench and that remedied the problem. My son loves it. He is big for a 3.5 year old, and this bicycle is just small enough for him now. So, he can grow into it from his current height of 42 inches. It rides pretty easily for him and seems to be holding up really well.
